Take a shuttle bus to the end of the road to the old heliport. From here, set off with your guide on foot, hiking across the fields to the coast. The view of icebergs, many reaching a height of 300 feet, floating in Disko Bay's Kangia Fjord is simply jaw-dropping.
Learn about old Inuit culture and mythology as you make your way further, still on foot, up and over a small pass and into Witch's Canyon.
Hike back towards town via a boardwalk that passes some derelict Inuit turf huts. These have been used by successive migrations of the Inuit people over the past 4,500 years.
