Walk along the shore of Ilulissat's icefjord, where your kayak adventure begins. Ilulissat's fjord is world famous for its mammoth icebergs and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Icebergs calve from SermeqKujalleq -- one of the fastest-moving and most active glaciers in the world.
Kayaking in this area is a truly mesmerizing experience. You will paddle in peace and quiet among the icebergs, gaining further insight into the history and the purpose of kayaking in this region.
Coming close to an area where whales often feed, you may be able to get close to these amazing creatures. The whales are wild -- free to come and go as they wish.

There is a weight limit on this excursion, Guests must be 265 pounds or less to go on this excursion. Restrooms and changing facilities are available before and after kayaking. You will paddle for approximately two hours. Dry suits, gloves and boots will be provided and must be worn. Use of a lifejacket is mandatory. Participants must be competent swimmers. Minimum age is 12 years. It is essential that you wear warm, layered clothing to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion. Outer layer should be windproof and waterproof. Bring gloves, a warm hat, and a scarf. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
