Depart from Invergordon for a panoramic drive along the banks of the Cromarty Firth, pausing briefly at the town of Beauly on your way to Drumnadrochit village.
Catch your first glimpse of world-renowned Loch Ness as you approach the water from the hillside high above. The largest volume of freshwater in Scotland, Loch Ness is famous around the world for being the home of a mysterious mythical water creature that goes by the nickname of Nessie. Keep an eye out and be sure to let your guide know if you spot the elusive Wee Beastie.
Continue the stunning drive along the main road running the length of the loch, and stop at the Clansman Hotel, located at the loch's edge. This brings you as close to the water (and Nessie) as possible without venturing out in a boat. Leave the coach and have a look around. Snap some photos before returning to Invergordon via the western shore of the loch and the Highland capital of Inverness.
