Capture the atmosphere and unique blend of Scotland's attractions as you enjoy an abundance of beautiful scenery, relax on a boat trip along an attractive loch, and see loveable Scottish sheepdogs at work.
You'll first drive across the fertile valley and the heart of the Lowland region with its backdrop of hills and the promise of Highland scenery beyond. Small and compact, this area offers an astonishing variety of topography.
Stop at the Scottish Wool Centre in the nearby small market town of Aberfoyle. At the Scottish Sheepdog School here, meet some border collies. This is a beautiful breed of dog with unparalleled intellect and loyalty, and today's class will feature a lighthearted display of their agility and ability -- including their work with ducks! Border collies have a finely-honed sense of right and wrong, and a strong desire to make order out of chaos. It is impressive, entertaining and endearing all at once.
In the adjacent shopping area, browse at your leisure through the large selection of woolens and knitwear, including chunky Aran knits and cashmere. There is also a range of quality gifts and souvenirs available.
Lunch is served at a hotel near Aberfoyle.
This afternoon, you'll head to the 'Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond' -- a mountainous region world-renowned for its outstanding scenery. Picture-postcard towns and villages straddle the banks of the loch's pristine waters. Embark on an approximately one-hour boat cruise on Loch Lomond to see the loch's broad southern end; then, return to shore for the motorcoach drive back to Greenock.
