An enormous fjord complex makes Nuuk's coastal area ideal for exploring by high-speed boat.
Get away from civilization and out into the maritime wilderness of Greenland. Steep mountainsides tower above you, peering down to preen in the reflective depths of the fjord. In the summertime, whales are frequent visitors here -- keep an eye out for humpback whales and other sea mammals.
There is indoor and outdoor seating on the boat.
Notes:
Time on the boat s approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. There is a basic restroom on the boat. Wildlife sightings are likely but not guaranteed. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Limited tourism infrastructure is part of the charm here, and you are trading breadth of experience for authentic interaction. Please bring your spirit of adventure and bear with any language difficulties your guide may encounter and with any operational surprises that may crop up. Tour requires walking approximately 160 yards each way from the ship to the boat.
