Learn about Gibraltar's natural wonders, local flora and fauna, splendid views, and military fortifications. Then, relax on a scenic panoramic drive around the Rock to view the huge catchment area and Catalan Bay.
Ascend by road to the Upper Rock to admire St Michael's Cave, where a technology-led installation creates an immersive experience inside the natural attraction. The Awakening highlights the history of the famous cave, explaining how the geological formation came to be through 360° light projection combined with immersive spatial audio.
A minibus will take you to the Apes' Den -- home of Barbary apes. These cheeky monkeys will take anything they can get their hands on, so keep your possessions close!
A five-minute drive north brings you to the entrance to the Upper Galleries -- the Great Siege Tunnels. You will enter this system of tunnels carved out of solid limestone, commenced in 1782 by the forerunners of the Royal Engineers. Today, they stand as a monument to ingenuity and engineering.
Drive past the Moorish Castle to enter the heart of the city.
Guests wishing to stay in town for duty-free shopping or to explore independently are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, flagstones, inclines, gravel, and more than 75 steps to exit the cave. Scooters, wheelchairs, and walkers cannot be accommodated on tour. Participants can use a mobility aid to reach the transportation; then, it will be stored in the cruise terminal until the tour returns to the ship. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations.
