Hop into a pre-paid taxi and enjoy the sights of Gibraltar. You'll pass the American War Memorial and the headquarters of the remaining British Naval Forces in Gibraltar.
Head towards Europa Point to snap some photos of the Strait of Gibraltar and the Bay of Gibraltar, the Spanish mainland and, on a clear day, the African continent.
Proceed to the Upper Rock area to visit St Michael's Cave and see the famous, and infamously light-fingered, Barbary apes. St. Michael's Cave has undergone a transformation in summer 2021, with a technology-led installation, creating a brand-new immersive experience inside the natural attraction. Opened to the public in summer 2021, ‘The Awakening’ highlights the history of the famous cave, explaining how the geological formation came to be through 360° light projection combined with immersive spatial audio.
You will drive past the Moorish Castle and the Tower of Homage, which still bears the scars of battle, to enter Upper Town area's narrow streets. Guests who wish to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so, but must make their own way back to the ship.
Notes:
The tour will be conducted by a driver-guide in a van that can accommodate up to 6 guests. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair. The vehicles used do not have space for wheelchair stowage.
