The secret of Guernsey's fascination is simple -- it is 24 square miles of unspoiled British Isles with a character all its own. Come ashore at St Peter Port -- a town of elegant, 18th-century Georgian houses, pubs, cafés and restaurants.
A panoramic drive takes you on a circular tour around the island, along narrow country roads and lanes, past country cottages with flower-filled gardens, sandy beaches, rocky cliffs, and rich pastures where the distinctive Guernsey cows graze.
Visit the gold- and silversmiths -- a thriving manufacturing base set in five acres of landscaped gardens. The workshops are situated in an attractively converted barn (1582). Watch the work and view the craftsmanship on display in the showroom, where you can purchase a special memento if you wish.
Finally, visit the Little Chapel, set in the quiet countryside along a tree-lined path and painstakingly built over many years.
Notes:
Due to the limited tourism infrastructure available on Guernsey, your driver will be your guide. It is not always possible for additional assistance to be given to guests with mobility limitations. Motorized wheelchairs/scooters cannot be accommodated.
