From Falmouth, travel towards Mounts Bay where you’ll enjoy a distant view of the fairytale-like St. Michael’s Mount. Topped by a castle, this small granite island is only accessible by a narrow path exposed at low tide or by boat. As you continue, your route passes along the bustling harbor of Penzance, a historic port town with a proud maritime heritage and sweeping views across the bay.
Continue through Cornwall’s rolling countryside, - past stone farmhouses, quiet hamlets and hedged fields, before arriving at Land's End, England's most westerly point.
The granite mass of Land's End has been a landmark for seafarers for centuries. This popular tourist attraction has something of interest for all ages, including an amusement park. Walk down to the viewing platform for stunning views of the rocky Cornish coast. Snap a photo of Land's End's popular landmark, the famous signpost giving the mileage to New York and other points across the Atlantic Ocean.
Afterwards, continue to Truro, the vibrant capital city Cornwall, it seamlessly blends rich cultural heritage with modern day charm. As you approach the city, you’ll be greeted by some of the most impressive architecture in the region. The highlight is undoubtedly Truro Cathedral, with its stunning three great Gothic spires rising dramatically above a cluster of narrow streets filled with elegant Georgian houses. The city is also renowned as a true foodie destination, boasting a variety of eateries that cater to all tastes.
You'll have time to explore Truro on your own, perhaps browse the boutique shops or pause for a spot of lunch before re-boarding the coach for your scenic drive back to Falmouth.
