Journey to County Wicklow and the impressive Powerscourt Distillery. You will tour the fully operational distillery to see the process of distilling whiskey in Ireland. Notice the huge copper pot stills involved in the process. Your experience includes an introductory film and a whiskey tasting.
Afterward, step out into the manicured beauty of Powerscourt Gardens. This lavish estate is set against the backdrop of the Wicklow Hills. You will marvel at the superbly landscaped formal Italian and Japanese gardens originally planted by Viscount Powerscourt Richard Wingfield in the 1740s. Enjoy some free time to explore the gardens.
The 18th-century house incorporates an array of specialty shops selling high-quality linens, woolens, crafts and souvenirs. Browse and shop, or purchase refreshments (at your own expense) from the terrace restaurant.
Enjoy the scenic drive back to the pier.
