Travel to Seville for a panoramic drive through this astonishing city. Watch for the stunning Plaza de España, which was the Spanish Pavilion during the 1929 World Expo. It reflects all provinces of Spain and is covered entirely in decorative ceramic tiles.
You will stop to visit the Las Dueñas Palace, only recently opened to the public and a magnificent addition to Seville's incredible architectural and artistic heritage. This palace was the home of the Duchess of Alba until she died in 2014. She was a member of the upper nobility of Spain and held more noble titles than the late Queen Elizabeth II of England. The palace was built between the 15th and 16th centuries in Gothic Mudejar style. Jackie Kennedy, Wallis Simpson, Grace Kelly and her husband Prince Rainier of Monaco all visited the palace. Today it's your turn to enjoy this legacy left to the city of Seville by the Duchess of Alba.
Lunch is served as a set menu at a local restaurant.
Continue to the modern and interactive Flamenco Dance Museum, housed in a restored Seville manor in the historical center. It is a loving tribute to different aspects of the Flamenco dance, from dancing ateliers to temporary painting exhibitions, interactive lessons on Flamenco history, and a multi-media show. One of the rooms holds Flamenco 'tools' -- guitars, castanets and colorful Flamenco dresses. In the lovely surroundings of the museum, you will have a special and exclusive Flamenco lesson. Your spirited and enthusiastic teacher will show you the intricate steps and flamboyant movements.
Notes:
