Discover the history and heritage of Bergen with The HISTORY Channel.
Explore Bergen’s most beautiful and historic sites on this guided coach tour. Start with a panoramic drive through the city, pausing at the iconic Fantoft Stave Church. Explore the historic church, originally built in Fortun in Sogn around1170 and relocated to Bergen in 1883, burned down in 1992, and faithfully rebuilt and reopened in 1997.
Next, continue by coach to the Bryggens Museum, where you’ll dive into the medieval history of Bergen, one of Northern Europe’s oldest port cities, and Western Norway and learn about the everyday lives of the people who lived here.
The tour concludes at Bryggen Pier -- a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll through the historic district with your guide and enjoy some free time to visit the Fish Market or explore on your own.
Guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship.
