You will visit the Stave Church in Fantoft, originally built in Fortun in 1150 but later moved to its current location to save it from demolition.
You're headed to the 13th-century Håkon's Hall -- the largest of the royal residences in Bergen when it was the political center of Norway.
And don't miss Bryggen -- a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the late Middle Ages. This famous precinct of Bergen is known for its narrow streets, fascinating fish market, and gorgeous old buildings jostling for position on the lively, colorful waterfront.
Guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship.
