Get to know Belfast -- on a coach ride along the city's major thoroughfares and past many of Belfast's imposing buildings. Watch for the Harbour Office and the Customs House.
Two of the city's most impressive structures are not buildings; they are Samson and Goliath -- the giant cranes of the Harland & Wolff Shipyards where the ill-fated ship was built.
The story of Titanic confronts you once again at the poignant memorial outside City Hall.
A panoramic drive leads through the city to the Ulster Museum. Step into the 75-foot-tall glass and steel atrium and come face to face with dinosaurs, meet an Egyptian mummy and see modern masterpieces. A terrace connects the museum to the Botanic Gardens.
Finally, you'll venture a few miles outside the city to see neo-Classical Stormont. The Northern Ireland Assembly rules from this impressive building.
Guests who wish to stay in town to shop or explore on their own are welcome to do so and can return to the ship by shuttle.
Notes:
The museum portion of the tour is unguided. Docents are available to answer your questions. Tour does not operate on Mondays.
