The hike starts at 164 feet above sea level and continues to the summit at 1,000 feet, offering extensive views over the city of Ålesund, Borgundfjord, and further inland to the Sunnmøre Mountains.
After the hike, your coach will return you to the city.
Notes:
In Spring (April and May), some viewpoints or attractions are inaccessible due to snow, causing roads to remain closed; this varies greatly from season to season. An alternative viewpoint or attraction may be substituted. The on-board Shore Excursions team will provide the latest details approximately 48 hours prior to the call at Alesund. Tour may be canceled at short notice. Participants will be required to climb approximately 836 feet over a total of 2.5 miles round trip over varying terrain. A portion of the route is uphill. Wear closed-toe, comfortable walking or hiking shoes. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Bring a backpack to stow any layers you shed. Certain inherent risks are involved in any hiking excursion. Bring bottled water. Participants must be physically fit. Not suitable for guests with a heart condition, weak knees or limited physical fitness. Minimum age is 16 years.
