Embark on an exhilarating off-road journey through the rugged landscapes of North Iceland, where adrenaline meets history and natural beauty. Our adventure begins with a thrilling ride in a Super Jeep, navigating the challenging terrain of Barkárdalur Valley.
As we traverse the 4x4 trail and cross rivers, prepare to be captivated by the stunning scenery surrounding us. Our destination is Baugasel, a traditional turf house farm that was the last occupied homestead in the valley before being abandoned in 1965. Here, amidst the tranquility of the valley, we'll immerse ourselves in the rich history of the area, exploring the old turf houses and discovering artifacts and tools from times past.
But the adventure doesn't end there. Along the way, we'll make stops at a hidden waterfall, offering a moment of serenity amidst the rugged wilderness, and Barkárgil canyon, where photo opportunities abound.
On our return journey, we'll visit the charming countryside church at Möðruvellir, a testament to Iceland's rich cultural heritage. Step inside and admire the craftsmanship of this historic landmark, built in 1867.
Before bidding farewell to this enchanting landscape, we'll ascend Mt. Fálkafell, treating you to panoramic views of the fjord and the picturesque town of Akureyri.
Join us for an unforgettable adventure filled with off-road action, cultural exploration, and breathtaking vistas—an experience that promises to leave you with memories to last a lifetime.
