Discover the color and creativity flowing from the old adobe buildings in San José del Cabo's ever-growing Art District.
Enjoy a beautiful drive along the oceanfront, past hotels and golf courses on the stretch of highway that connects Cabo San Lucas to its smaller sister town, San José. Along the way, your guide will share information about local culture, history, and modern-day Los Cabos.
In San José del Cabo, you will begin at the Town Square and visit the San José Mission -- one of the oldest missions on the Baja.
Continue to the Art District. Your guide will lead you through the charming galleries. Look through the galleries and shop for something that lights your fire. There are many galleries featuring the work of artists from around the globe.
Your journey continues to the renowned Patricia Mendoza's Gallery, which showcases contemporary pieces from Mexican artists. Here, enjoy a light snack with a cold beer or hibiscus tea while admiring quality abstracts, sculptures, and a variety of paintings.
Before boarding the tender back to the ship, search the dockside flea market for killer deals.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. There are steps in the Art District. Guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently in Cabo San Lucas are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship; it is an easy 10-minute walk back to the tender pier. Tour does not operate on Sundays.
