Transfer about 5 to 10 minutes to Perlas de La Paz -- an oyster farm in the Bay of La Paz that aims to teach its visitors about pearl oysters such as Concha Nacar and mother of pearl.
Hear intriguing tales about the famous pearls of the Bay of La Paz. For centuries, they adorned royalty from all over the world. Skilled artisans demonstrate the delicate process of grafting in the lab. Gain a deeper understanding of how a tiny nucleus is inserted into the oyster to initiate the formation of a semi-pearl. Conclude your immersive experience with a visit to the jewelry store to see the finished product on display -- pearls mounted in gold and silver.
Outdoors view the oyster farm from the shoreline. Rows of carefully-tended oyster beds thrive in this natural habitat. Then, put on snorkel gear and head into the water to explore the enchanting world of mother-of-pearl guided by a knowledgeable marine biologist.
