Enjoy a scenic coastal drive to La Paz -- the 500-year-old City of Peace. Explore downtown on a tour of the shops, boulevards, and the beautiful mile-long waterfront promenade.
Your first stop is at the La Paz Cathedral. Admire its neo-Classical design, built in 1867.
Spend some time walking in the Town Square and see the old gazebo.
Stroll the waterfront malecón, browse amongst the sculptures, visit the old Elizabeth Queen pier, and take a photo of the colorful Letters of La Paz.
Visit the Artisan Center for wooden handicrafts, decorative pottery, hand-painted tiles, seashells, and cactus-wood arts and crafts.
At La Concha Beach, enjoy tacos and a beverage, and some beach time to revel in the calm waters of Sea of Cortez.
Notes:
Participants must be able to climb three steps to (dis)embark the coach unassisted. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen (no other kind is allowed) and a hat. Swim at your own risk. To avoid sunburn, bring light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring local currency, as many vendors do not accept credit cards or US dollars.
