Your off-road adventure begins with a transfer to the safari center. Your driver will brief you on what to expect, and you'll climb into a sturdy 4x4 vehicle. Buckle up and head off the beaten track into the stunning countryside to discover Velebit, the largest mountain range in Croatia.
A spectacular canyon winds along the picturesque Zrmanja River. You will have time to take photos and enjoy the scenery here.
Hit the road again to the site where the Western movie Winnetou was filmed in the 1960s. From this breathtaking vantage point, take in the sheer beauty of the Zrmanja River far below as it winds its way through Dalmatia and empties into the Adriatic Sea.
In a vast valley, leave the vehicle and set off on foot to the Mamet Pit -- a large hole that forms the mouth of a cave complex. You'll understand why it is popular with base jumpers looking for the next thrill.
A local lunch is served nearby.
Cross to the north side of Velebit and Alan Pass, which offers a magnificent view of the Velebit Channel.
Rejoin the coach on Maslenica Bridge for the journey back to Zadar.
