Designed for passengers who prefer a minimum of walking, this narrated city drive celebrates the major sights of the historical city of Split. The Old Town of Split is built on and around the spectacular 4th-century Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian who was born in Salona (today's Solin).
During your narrated drive, you will also see the very interesting Cathedral of St Duje (patron saint of the city), built on the remains of an ancient shrine and supposedly the oldest cathedral in the world.
View the charming Temple of Jupiter and other landmarks such as the Golden Gate, the Silver Gate and Peristyle Square from the outside.
Stop by the colorful open market (the largest on the Dalmatian coast) or spend some free time in Split on your own before boarding your motorcoach and returning to the tender pier.
At the end of the narrated city drive, enjoy an optional orientation walking tour including a visit to the Diocletian Palace's cellars, which are still very well preserved. They offer a fine glimpse of how the life in the Palace was organized.
Wear comfortable walking shoes if you plan to participate to the optional walking tour after the narrated city drive. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
