See Rome as you've never seen it before. Inside the Eternal City, there's a pulse that's been beating for thousands of year.
Take a short panoramic drive through the city to view a few of its most famous monuments.
At Lungotevere Sanzio, you'll leave the coach and begin a short walking tour. You'll come to a famous open-air market with a charming atmosphere. Taste some local products directly from the market stalls to bring a gastronomic element to your day.
At the Trastevere jetty, board a boat to cruise the River Tiber -- an ancient and living monument of Rome. Legend says that Romulus and Remus were raised by wolves on the island in the middle of the river, and that Romulus founded Rome.
Hop off the boat at the St Angelo Bridge, facing the mighty castle of the same name. The Vatican City is just up the hill. Pass through Bernini's Colonnade to reach St Peter's Square. View St Peter's Basilica from the outside and reboard the coach nearby.
Across town, you'll leave the coach again and this time visit the Spanish Steps, Piazza di Spagna and the Trevi Fountain.
Enjoy some free time for lunch on your own or shopping.
Stroll through the Pantheon and Piazza Navona before heading back to Civitavecchia.
Notes:
