Transfer from the pier to the ferry terminal at Palau, where you’ll board the public commercial ferry boat bound for Maddalena Island. The Maddalena Archipelago is a collection of islands in the Strait of Bonifacio, positioned between Corsica and northeastern Sardinia. It consists of seven main islands and numerous other small islets. The largest island is Isola Maddalena, home to the archipelago's largest town, La Maddalena. The other six islands are Caprera, Spargi, Santo Stefano, Santa Maria, Budelli and Razzoli. Only Maddalena, Caprera and Santo Stefano are inhabited. Lying adjacent to the famous resort of the Costa Smeralda, Maddalena shares the same crystal-clear waters and wind-blown granite coastlines while also remaining a haven for wildlife. It is a designated National Park—the Parco Nazionale Arcipelago di La Maddalena. Enjoy a panoramic drive around the island and a visit to the charming town center of Maddelena. You will have some free time for shopping at the lovely stores in Garibaldi Square and perhaps taking a stroll along the promenade. At the conclusion of your visit, re-board the ferry back to Palau and connect with your coach to Olbia.
