The legendary beauty of the Gulf of Naples is on full display during this full day adventure. Today you will visit the colorful isle of Procida, named Italian Capital of Culture for 2022. Board your jetfoil and cruise to the port of Marina Grande where you will explore on foot this iconic enclave, photograph the sights, and visit the local craft shops. Continue through the historic center with its fragrant lemon groves, then hop into a local taxi to the medieval village of Terra Murata, to admire the 16th-century castle and Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo. Next, you will visit the tiny port of Corricella. This picturesque seaside village is a backdrop to several Hollywood movies and is famed for its candy-hued homes, which were painted by local fishermen to be recognized at long distances from the sea.
Your day includes a refreshing soft drink and lingue di Procida, the must-eat sweet treat on the island, also known as lingue di bue, or ox tongues, for their oblong shape. Those wanting a more substantial meal can enjoy lunch at their own expense at a myriad of cafés.
Return is by the scheduled jetfoil back to Naples, to conclude this memorable day.
Notes:
