Ride along the fabulously scenic Sorrentine Peninsula to the enchanting village of Sorrento, where you will see a woodworking demonstration. Furniture, embroidery, mosaics and porcelain can all be found here. Make the most of some free time in the heart of the town, rich in typical local produce, interesting sites of cultural interest, and fashionable shops.
Savor a lunch of local specialties; then, from Sorrento the coach will make its way along the renowned Amalfi Coast drive.
Take in panoramic vistas, as you make your way to Amalfi village. Your guide will tell you about the history of this lovely village -- one of the oldest maritime republics of Italy -- and enjoy some free time in the village and harbor area, or visit the imposing local cathedral.
After the visit to Amalfi, enjoy a motor launch ride to another village of the Amalfi Coast, where you will reboard your bus.
On the way back to Naples, visit the craft center situated at the foot of Mount Vesuvius to see a cameo-making demonstration, time permitting.
Notes:
Expect traffic delays. In the event that the parking area at Amalfi is full, an alternative stop on the Amalfi Coast will be substituted. On Saturdays, Sundays and days on or around holidays, large coaches are not allowed on the Amalfi coast and therefore this tour cannot be operated.
