Transfer to Sliema and board a boat. You’ll cruise on two natural harbors of Malta – Marsamxett Harbor and the Grand Harbor, bisected by the city of Valletta. The views of the fortifications from the seaward side are a photographer’s dream. View St Elmo’s Point and Ricasoli Point, the Scebarras Peninsula (covered by the city of Valletta) and the suburb of Floriana.
Round the point into Marsamxett Harbor, where a recorded commentary unravels the history of Valletta and the Three Cities connected with the two Great Sieges of 1565 and 1942. View historical forts, battlements and creeks seen only be admired from the sea. Fort St Angelo withstood the Turkish onslaught during the Great Siege of Malta. You will also view Fort Manoel on Manoel Island in Marsamxett Harbor, and the stunning, intact city walls surrounding Valletta.
You’ll cruise into each creek for the closest possible views.
Notes:
The harbor cruise is 90 minutes. Bring a jacket as it is cooler on the water.
