Board a coach for a panoramic drive to the southeast of Malta. You'll view the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk. Napoleon is said to have landed here, but nowadays, it is famous for its quaint harbor full of colorful luzzu fishing boats.
As you drive through Zurrieq, watch for a great view of the Blue Grotto from the coach. In the distance is the tiny mystic rock island of Filfla -- a seabird sanctuary for storm petrels and an entirely breathtaking maritime panorama.
Heading north through rural and agricultural areas, the route passes Mdina -- the commanding former capital of Malta.
Approaching the coastline, you will stop for photos of St Paul's Island, where the Apostle Paul was shipwrecked in AD 60. He converted the islanders to Christianity -- still the predominant religion on Malta to this day.
From here, you will return directly to the ship.
Notes:
This tour is ideal for those with mobility limitations or those who prefer less walking and for guests who simply want a relaxed overview of the island.
