This accessible Liverpool shore excursion combines a wonderful overview of the historic Liverpool Waterfront, its commercial center, with world-famous Beatles landmarks on a step-free walk/roll and an accessible panoramic drive.
Meet your guide and head out on a short stroll/roll along Canada Boulevard. Admire the wonderful Three Graces -- the Royal Liver Building, the Cunard Building, and the Port of Liverpool Building -- and the waterfront statues of the Beatles, Ronald Ross, and Second World War hero Captain "Johnnie" Walker.
A short transfer along the historic Albert Docklands introduces Liverpool's maritime history, including its darkest era of involvement in the slave trade and the American Civil War. Walk/roll through this fascinating district to experience it firsthand.
Finally, a brief panoramic drive takes you past the Beatles' childhood homes, Strawberry Field, Penny Lane, and Liverpool's two twentieth-century cathedrals.
Notes:
This tour is designed to be accessible for all guests, including those using a wheelchair (the tour operator suggests you bring a companion to assist, as guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs). The tour route avoids stairs; however, the nature of access may differ from the standards you are familiar with at home. Accessible bathrooms with wide doors are available along the tour route. An accessible vehicle with a wheelchair lift or ramp is used for transportation. The number of accessible vehicles available is extremely limited; make your accessible shore excursion reservations as far in advance as possible. Maximum weight inside the vehicle including guests and equipment is 500 lbs. Max height inside vehicle: 180 cm (70 inch).
This tour option is specifically for guests who require a reservation for a designated accessible space, such as a wheelchair anchor. If you are a companion or have chosen to book this tour but do not require a wheelchair anchor or similar accommodation, please select the version of this tour with 'Companion' in the title. This helps us ensure that all guests who need accessibility accommodations have access to the necessary resources and allows us to coordinate effectively with our vendors.
