Take the train to Pisa and grab a bike for a great, active tour in this beautiful Tuscan town.
You will see the Piazza dei Cavalieri with the beautiful bronze statue of Cosimo I Medici (1596), the Palazzo della Carovana and the Tower of Conte Ugolino, where the man for whom it was named was imprisoned.
Ride your bike to the Lungarni along the banks of the Arno River. Take in the beautiful medieval and Renaissance palaces and the tiny jewel of Santa Maria della Spina Church.
Watch for Borgo Stretto and the Corso Italia, as well as the Old Market.
After a quick stop for a refreshment, reboard the train and coach for your return to the ship.
Guests wishing to stay in Livorno to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship.

Transfer to Pisa is by coach and public train. Delays sometimes occur; your patience is appreciated. Air conditioning on the train is not guaranteed. The train ride from Livorno to Pisa is approximately 20 minutes each way. Helmets are provided for the bike ride and must be worn. The bike tour covers approximately 5 to 6 miles, all on flat and paved terrain. A storage area for personal belongings is available. Minimum age is six years. Maximum weight is 210 lbs.
