Drive via the autostrada through countryside lush with vineyards and olive orchards to Pisa, and set out on a 15- to 20-minute walk from the motor coach to Field of Miracles. View the unforgettable Leaning Tower and photograph the stunning cathedral and baptistery.
Travel 30 minutes to the seaside resort of Viareggio. Viareggio has been a popular seaside resort for more than a century and is famous for its seafood. You will be welcomed for an explanation of the resort's facilities and layout; then, relax on the beach or stroll along the town's famed promenade -- open to pedestrian traffic only and lined with elegant boutiques and cafés.
Lunch in Viareggio is on your own; you can try one of the many cafés and restaurants that line the bustling streets (at your own expense).
Don't miss the chance to browse in the town's many elegant shops, offering the latest fashions (most shops are closed 1:30 - 3:30pm).
Notes:
There is no guide on this tour. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Bring euros for purchasing lunch. Changing rooms, beach and swimming pool access, a sunbed and beach umbrella are provided. Tour operates June 15th to September 15th only. Tour does not operate on Sundays. You will have use of a dressing room, a private locker, the swimming pool, wifi, and beach sports. For every three guests there is one sun umbrella, two deck chairs and one sunbed. Lunch and hot showers are not included.
