Traveling by comfortable motorcoach, pass through the olive groves and vineyards of the Tuscan countryside. View Florence and the Arno Valley from a scenic overlook at Piazzale Michelangelo before you enter the city.
Walk among Florence's best sights and major buildings, churches, and squares. From a distance, you'll see the Ponte Vecchio — the famous 14th-century bridge spanning the Arno River.
Piazza del Duomo is an open space that lies in front of the fourth-largest church in the world — Brunelleschi's masterpiece cathedral in green and white marble, capped with a terra-cotta tile dome. The Duomo (cathedral) itself was consecrated in 1436.
Florence is renowned for handmade leather goods; shopping should be at the top of your agenda. You will visit a leading leather factory to shop for jackets, purses, and belts.
Notes: The drive to Florence is approximately 1½ hours each way. Traffic can be unpredictable; your patience is greatly appreciated if a delay extends the tour duration. Although this tour includes an approximately one-hour overview of sights in Florence, most of the time is spent shopping at a leather warehouse located outside of the city. Tour requires a 35-minute walk back to the transportation at the end.
