Set out by elegant and comfortable Mercedes Benz vehicle with a maximum of just seven guests per vehicle and an English-speaking driver.
Your destination is Volterra, and you will travel through the Tuscan countryside to reach it.
A professional English-speaking Tour Guide, head to the city's ancient Roman theatre -- among the better-preserved theatres in Europe. It's easy to imagine the roar of the Roman crowds that gathered here. You'll also visit the medieval Piazza dei Priori, located in the heart of town.
At an alabaster laboratory, see firsthand the craftsmanship that goes into each piece. You'll have a chance to shop for something special.
A theatre of a different kind awaits you now -- the stark, open-air Teatro del Silenzio amphitheater in Lajatico. This modern outdoor venue -- built in 2006 by opera singer Andrea Bocelli -- hosts the maestro's Teatro del Silenzio concert held every summer. A panoramic drive through Lajatico's city center showcases Bocelli's hometown, which he often reaches by horse from his home in the countryside.
At the Bocelli Farmhouse, located nearby, take a tour of the vineyards in Poggioncino, adjacent to the farmhouse, with the driver. The Bocelli Farmhouse Villa is not open to visitors as it is the private villa of Andrea Bocelli, so guests will see it from the external.
At Officine Bocelli restaurant, members of the Bocelli family host a private wine-tasting experience for you. Try the various types of wine produced by the family and hear all about the history behind the brand. You'll also have a chance to sample the family's olive oil and honey products. Be seated for lunch -- Typical Tuscan food is freshly and lovingly prepared to enhance your fabulous day out. There's time after to shop at the Bocelli boutique.
In Pisa, wander through the Piazza dei Miracoli. You will have time to shop or enjoy a gelato (at your own expense), and to admire from the outside the beautiful cathedral, baptistery and the world-famous Leaning Tower.
Notes: On Monday calls, lunch is served at an alternative venue. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
