A Dutch-speaking guide leads this tour (or a guide with a Dutch interpreter). A limited number of Dutch guides and interpreters are available in this port; book early to avoid disappointment.
When you visit Ephesus, you will meet one of the best-preserved old cities in the world. In ancient times, historians believed that Ephesus was founded by the Amazons, but today it is assumed that Ephesus was the Hittite city of Apasa.
With your guide you will visit the Odeon, where the advisory council held meetings, the Roman baths and many other columns, monuments and ruins, including the Celsus library and the great theater.
In the village of Sirince you will experience the perfect synthesis of Turkish and Greek culture as well as the world-famous Turkish hospitality. Stroll through the streets, where the exterior houses are kept in Greek style, while the interior is strikingly Turkish. You get the time to buy handmade items and souvenirs.
On your way to Kusadasi you have the opportunity to shop at a local souvenir center before returning to the city.
Notes:
There is limited shade, so adjust your clothes accordingly. Take a hat and lubricate yourself with sunscreen. In some locations it can be busy.
