A visit to Ephesus is a visit to one of the best-preserved ancient cities in the world. Ancient historians believed that the Amazons founded Ephesus, but now it is believed to have been the Hittite city of Apasa.
Follow your guide to the Odeon, where the advisory council held its meetings.
Walk past the Baths, as well as many other columns, monuments and ruins, including the Celsus Library and the Great Theatre.
Returned to Kusadasi for shopping and a optional Turkish carpet demonstration, or head directly back to the ship.
Notes:
Shade is limited; please dress accordingly. Bring a hat and wear sunscreen. Expect dense crowding and congestion at the sites. The use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience. Ancient Ephesus is not wheelchair accessible. Wear comfortable, non-skid walking shoes.
