See the sights and get some exercise on this lovely 90-minute cycling expedition that begins at the pier.
Don a helmet, grab a bike, and set off en masse along the Parenzana Trail -- one of the oldest biking trails in Europe. You'll follow the route of the now-defunct Parenzana narrow-gauge railroad. For 34 years it was the main transport link between Istria and Central Europe, connecting 33 Istrian towns. A hundred years after the steam engine chugged along the tracks, the route has been re-purposed into a pleasant path for runners and cyclists. You'll pedal at a relaxed pace, following your guide and stopping for photos at key sights. Travel though quaint villages, along the seaside, past salt pans, and through olive groves and vineyards.
Upon arrival at Portoroz, a coastal resort town, you will enjoy a light snack and a little free time before a motor coach transports you back to the pier.
