Discover the remarkable city of Ljubljana, where you can and explore at your own pace. Travel 90 minutes by air-conditioned motor coach through a landscape of limestone hills dotted with vineyards, orchards and olive groves.
Once you reach Ljubljana, the capital city, disembark in the city center—the perfect starting point for your self-guided tour. A delightful mix of architectural styles includes a strong influence of Renaissance and Art Nouveau structures. You may wish to head into Ljubljana's marvelous Old Town, located on the west bank of Ljubljanica River. It is home to a bevy of beautiful buildings and stunning churches in a dreamy riverside setting that captures the true essence of old Europe. Looming above the Old Town is the impressive Ljubljana Castle. Dating back to the 12th century, the castle has been a home to Carinthian dukes and the Hapsburgs. You can't miss the Triple Bridge (1842) by architect Jože Pleènik.
Located across the river in New Town, the Dragon Bridge, was built in 1901 to mark the 60th birthday of Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz Josef I. The New Town is noted for its wonderful collection of museums, including the National Gallery.
Return to the motor coach filled with wild and wonderful memories, for a relaxing scenic ride back to Koper.
