Tender to Athinios pier and board a coach for a panoramic drive that consists mainly of sightseeing from the transportation. Head to pretty Pyrgos — a charming village blending tranquility with rich history.
A drive across the island will acquaint you with the inspiring volcanic nature of the island; the views from various angles are quite spectacular.
Picturesque Oia features blue-domed churches, old two-story mansions, and narrow cobblestone streets lined with tiny shops selling handmade ceramics, paintings, and semi-precious jewelry. This is an ideal location from which to take in the scenic beauty and volcanic character of this remarkable place. Returning to Thira, walk with your guide to the cliffside road and proceed to the cable car at your leisure.

The tour ends in Thira. Return to the ship is via cable car. Expect crowding and long lines at the cable car. Guests wishing to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so and can use their cable car ticket to return to the ship at any time. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited, wear light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun. Bring a hat and sunglsases; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
