Gather your friends and family and board a private yacht for a short ride on the Bosphorus Strait with a private guide. Take in the city’s famous and beautiful landmarks from the water as your guide recounts Istanbul’s colorful history. Disembark the yacht and transfer to the Old Town to visit the Blue Mosque. See the Hippodrome where ancient Byzantine entertainment spectacles such as gladiator fights and chariot races took place.
Step down into the Underground Cistern, built in the 6th century with 336 beautiful columns that were recycled from pagan Roman temples.
You'll stop for refreshments at an authentic Turkish teahouse; then, enjoy some time at the Grand Bazaar, followed by a demonstration on the art of carpet weaving.
Notes:
Your group must consist of a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 persons. Expect dense traffic conditions in Istanbul. Modest attire is required; knees, shoulders and midriffs must be covered and women must cover their head with a scarf, which will be provided by Blue Mosque. Shoes must be removed to enter mosque(s). Shoe bags will be provided for mosque visits. Not suitable for guests using a wheelchair. All tours in the Old Town require considerable walking, as it is closed to traffic. The covered section of the Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays and during Ramadan; shopping will take place in stores just outside the Grand Bazaar.
