This special culinary evening will steer you away from the crowds and into some of the most beloved local hideaways in Dubrovnik's Old Town. You'll start your tour in the late afternoon, meeting your guide and driver at the port for a short transfer to Dubrovnik's Pile Gate.
On foot, you will cross the iconic drawbridge into the Old Town; then, you'll pass Onofriou's Fountain and walk down the broad, stone-paved avenue known as the Stradun. This is the Old Town's atmospheric main artery, lined with graceful stone homes where people work and live.
Stop at the new Bar by Azur -- a serious cocktail bar hidden down a narrow side street in this town that is now taking its wine and food offerings very seriously indeed. Sample the bar's innovative creations for a taste of the new Old Dubrovnik.
A short, guided stroll through the Old Town follows -- an opportunity to see Sponza Palace, which is notable for its colonnaded courtyard with elaborate stone carvings, as well as the Rector's Palace and other sights.
Your final destination is Azur -- a cozy bistro tucked into the ancient walls of the Old Town. Here, brothers Darko and Vedran Perojevic mix Croatian, Mediterranean, pan-Asian and international flavors to create what they've dubbed "Croasian" cuisine. You'll begin your dinner with starters such as salmon ceviche or chicken and chorizo tacos; then, taste fragrant dishes such as seared tuna with crispy basil or beef meatballs in a curry coconut sauce. A highlight of the evening is a visit with the chef, who will walk you through the inspirations behind this heavenly meal.
After dinner, it's a short walk to the Pile Gate. A vehicle waits to take you back to the ship.
