Meet your knowledgeable guide and accessible van. A scenic panoramic drive takes you along the coast from Catania to Taormina. Here, your tour guide escorts you on a memorable walking/rolling tour of the fascinating, historical city center. Follow the lively main street -- Corso Umberto, to the charming Piazza IX Aprile, characterized by its black-and-white paving. It is essentially a balcony with sweeping views of the Ionian Sea and the famed Mount Etna. See the former Gothic St Augustine's Church, the 17th-century Church of St Joseph, the Bell Tower and the Porta Di Mezzo.
Another beautiful square that is the pride of the city is the Piazza Duomo, graced by a beautiful fountain, charming alfresco cafés and the glorious Taormina Cathedral. Roll inside the cathedral to admire its beautiful interior paintings and statues. Outside, savor a gelato (at your own expense) if you wish.

The tour route avoids stairs; however, the nature of access may differ from the standards you are familiar with at home. Accessible bathrooms with wide doors are available along the tour route. An accessible vehicle with a wheelchair lift or ramp is used for transportation. The number of accessible vehicles available is extremely limited; make your accessible shore excursion reservations as far in advance as possible. Lunch is not included. If appropriate (i.e., on long-duration tours), you will have time to purchase lunch at your own expense during the tour. Maximum weight is 300 lbs. Minimum height is 4'11" (150 cm).
