This accessible Corfu shore excursion combines the very best highlights of the island into one memorable experience. Visit the fascinating Palaiopolis-Mon Repos Mansion Museum, explore and shop in Old Town Corfu, and experience the picturesque Kanoni viewpoint.
Meet your knowledgeable guide and accessible van and head out on a short drive to the mansion, in which the Palaiopolis-Mon Repos Museum is housed. Built at the time of British rule over the Ionian islands, this impressive palace boasts Classical features and impeccably-landscaped grounds. It is where the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was born. Ancient artifacts found in Palaiopolis are housed here, including household, commercial and religious objects that reveal interesting aspects of the private and public lives led by the ancient Corfiots. Escorted by your tour guide, you will explore the site and learn about the history and stories associated with this historic area.
A beautiful, scenic panoramic drive leads to the charming village of Kanoni. Here, stop at one of the most spectacular viewpoints on the island to see the nearby Mouse Island and learn about how it relates to the Greek god of the sea, Poseidon.
End your day exploring Corfu's Old Town. See the Old Fortress, pretty French-style architecture, ancient streets, and the pastel-colored heart of the city with vibrant Esplanade Square. There's time for shopping if you wish.
