As you depart Cannes, take a scenic 1-hour drive to magical St. Paul de Vence, an art lovers paradise. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of the majestic Alpes Maritimes and the Mediterranean.
The silhouette of this 16th-century village stands out far above the rolling hills and rich valleys of the Vence countryside. This picturesque town has retained much of its medieval appearance and is typical of the fortified towns that once guarded the Var frontier. A walk with your guide along the cobblestone streets reveals why St. Paul de Vence was discovered in the 1920s by painters such as Signac, Modigliani, Bonnard and Soutine.
After your guided walking tour, you will have some free time to explore on your own before you return to the pier.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Tour involves walking uphill on cobblestone streets and uneven terrain. Participants must negotiate stairs and/or uneven surfaces and is therefore not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations.
