Board your coach and you will be transferred to Ostuni: this city was built on three hills and it is famous for the beautiful effect of its whitewashed houses. Upon arrival in Ostuni a short walk will take us to the main square of the town, "Piazza della Libertà", the heart of the city's social life with its several cafés and great open space. From this point, we will walk through the narrow streets of "the white town" and visit the beautiful examples of Apulian Romanesque style such as the impressive Cathedral. On the top of the old part of the town, we can enjoy a stunning view on the Adriatic coast from which Ostuni is separated by an ocean of centuries-old olive trees. After the guided walking tour of Ostuni we will walk back to coach parking and head on to 15th century "Masseria Brancati" (typical Apulian fortified farmhouse). The owner will lead us on a guided tour of the manor including the underground oil mill that dates to Roman times, the Medieval part of the estate, the little private church, and the museum dedicated to folk traditions. At the end of the tour of the Masseria, enjoy olive-oil tasting with typical Apulian bakery products. At the end of this unique experience you will be transferred back to Bari port.
Notes:
Tour requires extensive walking over uneven surfaces and steps. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Wear comfortable walking shoes; bring a hat. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
