Visitors to Barcelona discover a city of charming streetscapes, sidewalk cafés and squares bustling with people. It is full of life. This amazing city also features the world's largest collection of Modernist architecture among its many buildings and churches.
Set out on a panoramic drive past the Columbus Monument and watch for the bottom of the famous promenades of La Rambla and Via Laietana.
Continue along Passeig de Gracia, the best-known boulevard in town, towards La Sagrada Familia Cathedral. Your guide will provide you with all the relevant details about this stunning and truly enormous Modernist-style church — Gaudí's most unusual construction — as you pass by.
Enjoy a view of Barcelona's coastline at Olympic Harbor, and some free time here if the tour schedule permits.
Before returning to the ship, head up Montjuïc Hill and pass through the Olympic Ring, with a brief stop at a viewpoint for a panoramic vista.
Notes:
This tour is available only to guests whose cruise does not begin or end in Barcelona. Tour consists mainly of sightseeing from the transportation. Stops are brief, and participants can remain in the vehicle. Participants must be able to board the coach, unassisted, by way of steps.
