Discover Málaga's rich archaeological remains and fascinating monuments on this panoramic drive past its marvelous landmarks. Ancient history is alive and well in this busy center of the Costa del Sol, and civilizations old and older have left remnants for you to admire and ponder.
Depart from the port, passing the bullring as you head towards the Gibralfaro viewing platform. From here, take in the splendid views over the port and part of the city.
Your drive continues back to the city center at Plaza de la Merced. Your guide will point out the house where Málaga's most famous citizen -- Pablo Picasso -- was born.
A walking tour through the Old Town and see from the outside the birth house of Picasso, Alcazaba, and the Roman Theater and the Cathedral. In the background are the towers of the Renaissance-style cathedral; it was built between the 16th and the 18th centuries and is now a National Monument. There is approximately a 7-minute walk from the Official Bus Stop to the Cathedral each way.
Along the way, you will also see some interesting and beautiful buildings dating from the 19th century, including the Town Hall, the Justice Court, and the Central Post Office.
