Ride by covered motor boat to the west coast of Taha'a to discover the beauty of Raiatea's sister island.
Put on your aqua shoes and leave the boat to walk across an uninhabited motu (islet) off the coast. Start your drift snorkeling experience from the other side of the islet, and your guide will lead you as the current carries you along over shallow coral -- there's no stopping along the way!
The drift will be done up to three times (time permitting).
The area teems with a spectacular variety of tropical fish and amazing corals. The richness of this coral garden is renowned in Polynesia -- a very rewarding experience.
Notes:
Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Wear a rash guard or t-shirt and aqua shoes. Participants must be extremely comfortable in the water as snorkeling takes place in very shallow water with a current that can be very strong. Expensive clothing or jewelry should not be worn on tour. Do not touch or step on the coral. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Depth of water is not guaranteed due to currents and sea level variation. Sailing on board a boat requires vigilance; participants must be physically and mentally alert to the boating environment and fit enough to negotiate steps and the vessel layout. The boat may be wet; personal belongings and devices should be stored with caution.
