On this tour, discover the natural beauty of Tahiti.
Head towards the east coast, where your first stop is at Point Venus. This is the historic landing site for the European discoverers and evangelists who came to the Society Islands in the 1700s. It boasts the only lighthouse on the island, built in 1867.
Continue south, passing steep coastline en route to the Gauguin Restaurant, where you’ll stop for a refreshment.
At the Spring Garden of Vaipahi, rare species of precious wood and tropical flowers grow in luxuriant splendor.
Enjoy a short photo stop at Maraa Fern Grotto Caves, visited by Captain Cook in 1769 and described in Paul Gaugin’s novel Noa Noa.
The drive back to the pier takes you along the west coast, completing your full circumnavigation of Tahiti-Nui.
