Awaken your senses during a visit to Kauai Coffee Company and while aboard a vintage train ride through the orchards at Kilohana Plantation.
On a guided walk, learn about Kauai’s coffee history and the coffee grown at Kauai Coffee Estate. On a shaded, meandering path, you’ll see five different coffee varietals. See the entire coffee process -- from initial blossoming, through harvesting and processing, to the final roasting. Then step into the Visitor Center and enjoy free samplings of Kauai coffee and a special treat - a chocolate macadamia nut cookie. End your visit here with a short stop at the gift shop.
At the historic Kilohana Plantation Estate, watch as your bartender teaches you how to make the perfect Mai Tai made with Koloa Rum and fresh Pressed Sugar Cane Juice grown right here on the plantation. Then judge for yourself as you sip on your Mai Tai at the Mahiko Lounge which is in the living room of the Kilohana Mansion. You can also browse in the 7 unique shops and galleries for many unique made-on-Kauai products.
Right next door, step aboard the Kauai Plantation Railway's Signature train tour for a 40-minute ride pulled by an authentic 1948 General Electric diesel train engine. Take your seat in one of the mahogany coaches and relax as you pass through 104 acres of sugar cane, taro, and exotic fruit orchards.
This "tasteful" tour of Kauai is not to be missed!
