Peek into Kona's underwater paradise without getting wet. Cruise aboard the Marian — a 36-foot glass-bottom boat specially designed for viewing the clear waters of Kona. Your tour begins as you board the vessel at Kailua Pier, and a knowledgeable onboard naturalist is eager to share their knowledge.
Gliding over the reef, you will see and learn about the vibrant tropical fish, coral colonies, and other underwater wonders. Have your camera ready as the boat approaches Ship Wreck Rock, where the glass is inches from a majestic pinnacle teeming with colorful marine life. Marian was custom-made to glide right over the rock for exceptional photo opportunities as fish dart through coral crevices just beneath your feet. As the boat reaches the "drop off", you'll witness the ocean floor plunge to depths of over 100 feet, revealing a mesmerizing transition from reef to open sea.
Frolicking dolphins or winter humpback whales may be a special bonus in winter. This tour is a marvelous choice for those seeking a relaxing way to learn about and see Hawaii's aquatic wonders.
Notes:
This tour is ideal for guests seeking a comfortable, low-impact way to explore Kona's underwater beauty. The Marian features easy boarding, shaded and cushioned seating, and a smooth ride designed for relaxation.
Notes:
We suggest wearing comfortable shoes. The boat features easy boarding and shaded, cushioned seating. Not advisable for those prone to motion sickness. Wildlife sightings, other than coral reef and fish, are likely but are not guaranteed.
