Your journey begins as you board your air-conditioned minibus and drive from Hilo, climbing through a lush rain forest, to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival at the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, your minibus will travel along portions of Crater Rim Drive and Chain of Craters Road for breathtaking views of the park's incredible sights. See otherworldly landscapes: twisted lava rock flows, sulfur banks and lava beds. According to Hawaiian legend, it is bad luck to take home pieces of lava rock (and many disbelievers have found this out, as rocks are mailed back to Hawaii each year). Located near the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory, you will see panoramic views of Kilauea Caldera and Halema'uma'u Crater. We will also make a stop at the Visitor Center where you'll see exhibits explaining the history and geology of Hawaii's volcanoes.
Before returning to the pier, visit Rainbow Falls, an iconic waterfall featuring an 80-foot-tall cascade surrounded by tropical flora. Look for the rainbow effect produced by the spray that gives the waterfall its name.

Participants must negotiate stairs and/or uneven surfaces and is therefore not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Tour order may vary.
